When ordering a canvas float frame from our website, we automatically apply a standard 1/4" relief to your artwork. This relief allows the canvas to sit properly within the frame, ensuring a clean and secure display.
If you wish to modify the relief amount—either increasing or decreasing it—this can easily be done by adjusting the Art Size of your artwork.
If you prefer a different relief size (e.g., 1/8" instead of 1/4"), follow these steps:
- Determine the amount of relief you want on each side (e.g., 1/8" on each side).
- Multiply the desired relief by 2 (since the relief affects both sides of the artwork).
- Example:
- Original Relief: 1/4" (default setting)
- Desired Relief: 1/8" (on each side)
- Calculation: 1/8" × 2 = 1/4"
- Adjust Art Size: Decrease your Art Size by 1/4" to achieve the 1/8" relief.
